Meet Your Mobile Vet

Dr Sinead graduated with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Melbourne and has spent nearly a decade caring for Tasmanian animals and the people who love them.

Veterinary medicine has always been about more than treating illness for Sinead — it's about supporting families through every stage of their animals' lives. She believes that compassionate veterinary care means taking the time to listen, understanding what matters most to each family, and helping owners make informed, realistic decisions without judgement. Whether celebrating a new puppy, managing a chronic illness, or saying goodbye to a beloved companion, Sinead is committed to walking alongside her clients every step of the way.

Known for her warmth and empathy, Sinead forms genuine connections with both her patients and their people. She understands that pets are family, and she never forgets the deep bond shared between animals and those who care for them. Her clients know her as a veterinarian who celebrates the wins, shares the worries, and is never afraid to shed a tear alongside them when the time comes to say goodbye.

Although her career has primarily focused on companion animal medicine, Sinead has always had a strong interest in large animal practice. Through River & Valley Veterinary Care, she is excited to return to this passion by expanding veterinary services for sheep, goats and alpacas — species that have often had limited access to dedicated veterinary care.

Sinead has particular interests in feline medicine, emergency and critical care, and small ruminant and alpaca health. She enjoys working collaboratively with owners to develop practical and achievable treatment plans tailored to each individual animal, family and situation.

As a mobile veterinarian, Sinead loves being able to care for animals in the comfort of their own environment, where they are often at their most relaxed. Mobile practice allows her to provide a more personal experience, improve access to veterinary care for rural communities, and offer flexible appointment options while exploring Tasmania's beautiful countryside.

Outside of work, Sinead enjoys spending time with her family and discovering new hiking trails.
